Robert’s natural ability for drawing and painting became evident at a young age leading him to major in art during his
early college years and later earning a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies. As a commercial artist, he has spent
more than 35 years using his talents in various artistic enterprises. For more than a decade he has been sought
after nationally as a landscape mural painter having a repertoire of extraordinary large scale works on display
throughout the country at private and public natural history museums. In recent years Robert has turned his focus to
fine art painting, continuing on with his artistic interpretation of God's majestic creation.
Robert and his wife Diane reside in Carson City, Nevada.

Robert Bucknell was born in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, later moving
with his family to California. Growing up in Sacramento, his parents
raised him with an enthusiasm for exploring some of the greatest
wilderness areas in the country including the Colorado Rockies, the
Wind River Range in Wyoming, and the Sierra Nevada. He gains much
of his artistic inspiration from his continued love for backpacking in the
Sierra high country.
