MY PAINTING METHOD

My painting style is hyper-realism  and people have sometimes mistakenly thought that I do "paint-overs", which is simply painting over a photo.   I don't use that method.   Rather, I use photographs for references, draw the outline, and then paint the detail as I see it.   For a more detailed explanation of my process  please see my guest article for Realism Today "I Spent 160 Hours Painting This Realistic Still Life"

The painting here took 6 weeks and about 250 hrs.
