I painted my first outdoor wall mural in 1974 in Sacramento. Moving to Nevada in the late 80's, I began painting murals for casinos, restaurants, and various public works before transitioning into full time landscape mural painting for private and commercial natural history exhibits. Over the course of twenty plus years I’ve painted hundreds of murals on location in 18 states, and on canvases in the shop that were shipped out for installation to many more states. In 2016 I traveled to the Kwande Private Game Preserve in Grahamstown, South Africa to paint the backdrops for a natural history museum. Many of my murals are very large, the largest single mural project consisting of 1500 linear ft (the equivalent in length of 5 football fields).
I’m now retired from painting murals on location but will consider small projects (9 ft high max) that can be painted on canvas in my studio and shipped out for installation.
